I did this for Twitter, but I'll post it here for posterity's sake - one snippet I wrote each month of the year.

Notes:

Notes:
I chose these based on the month that they were written, not when they were published. The only exception to this rule is April, because I didn't write anything that month (I finished At Sunrise on April 1 and promptly burned out for the rest of the month OTL).
I also learnt from this and yesterday's writing roundup that my ending lines are much stronger than my openings, so that's one more thing I'll work on next year!
October and November's pieces were my creative writing assignments for school, and December's is for the Kacchako zine. None of them have been published.
I had a hard time choosing snippets, so for pieces where I just couldn't pick /one/ part, I went with the ending paragraphs 😂
I also learnt from this and yesterday's writing roundup that my ending lines are much stronger than my openings, so that's one more thing I'll work on next year!
And I don't know if it's evident to an observer, but I can see (feel?) the shift in my writing across the year as I experimented with different styles, and it's really satisfying to look at it ;;
